Who can join and how much is it?

There are three categories of membership:

Ordinary Membership, which is open to former pupils, present or past members of staff of the School for an annual subscription of £25, or choose to become a Life Member for £250.

Associate Membership is available to those who do not qualify as Ordinary members (such as parents of current and former pupils of the School unless they themselves are former pupils of the School). As for Ordinary Members, the annual subscription is £25, Life Membership is £250.

Junior Membership is available to any student in full-time education for an annual payment of only £10. Life Membership is also available to Junior Members for £250.

Where does the money go?

A proportion of your subscription will be used to cover the cost of the ‘Welcome Packs’, newsletters etc. sent to members as part of our commitment to keeping you better informed. However, a significant part of the money will help to cover the cost of maintaining and developing our wonderful facilities at Oakfield – the envy of many other local clubs.

What direct benefits do I get as a member?

Apart from the obvious benefits of being able to enjoy the excellent sports and social facilities at Oakfield, members also receive a ‘Welcome Pack’ which includes:
• Your membership card and details of entitlements for each of the membership categories;
• An Old Parkonians Association tie (NB: The Association tie is not included in the welcome pack for Junior Members. However, Junior Members can purchase a tie for £10)
• Details of how to hire the Oakfield facilities for private functions at discounted prices;
• Details of Association and School merchandise which is available and an order form;
• Important contact numbers and details of the affiliated football, cricket and tennis clubs, and the golf society; and,
• A calendar of events.

In addition, all members will receive:
• The Parkonian Newsletter, keeping you informed of developments and events at the School and the Association and which, in time, should provide the means for you to make contact and meet up with old school friends;
• A complimentary copy of the School magazine ‘Chronicles’ when produced by students at the School; and,
• Invitations to the major functions organised by the Association and its Affiliated clubs, such as the annual dinners, as well as the opportunity to attend ‘Class Reunions’ and other events.

What do I do Next?

Once you have printed your application form:
• Complete the appropriate parts of the form for your category of membership;
• Choose the method of payment that suits you;
• If you wish to purchase an Association tie, choose the style of tie you wish to have (and enclose an additional £10); and then,

Send your application form to us.

And Then? We shall send you your Welcome Pack and see you at the Club!
